The Presbyterian Preschool was founded in 1977 as a Mission and an integrated auxiliary ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso. The Preschool was originally administered and taught by members of FPCV but today’s teachers are all well-qualified but are not all members of the church. Since its inception, the school has been providing a quality, affordable, and nurturing early learning experience for children in our community. The Preschool operates as a self-funding ministry and charges a reasonable tuition for its classes.

Children learn best through joyful exploration. Our teachers use stories, music, movement, and hands-on centers to grow early literacy, math, and social skills in a warm, safe environment. Small class sizes help every child feel seen and supported.

First Presbyterian Preschool’s staff includes Lead Teacher Lisa Koroncz and Assistant Teacher Megan Nelson, supported by classroom aides Magan E., Kelly F., and Trisha F. Together they provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for Early Learners and Pre-K.
